137 French women call for lifting sanctions imposed on Syria
Scores of French women called for completely lifting the unilateral Western coercive economic measures being imposed on Syria, expressing solidarity with the Syrian people in facing the impacts of these measures.
In a statement issued on the International Women’ Day and published by French newspaper Réveil Communiste, 137 French women affirmed that Western coercive measures have increased the suffering of the Syrian people, especially in the domains of power, food and health care.
They pointed out to the acts of foreign occupation forces in Syria, including the burning of crops and looting the resources and wealth of the Syrian people.
