Yesterday’s tragic explosion in #Beirut, Lebanon brought to mind the 2013 Latakia massacre.
It’s a tragedy that affected hundreds of civilians in the countryside of Latakia 7 years ago.
The terrorist groups behind the massacre were the #FSA (so-called moderate group in the mainstream media), Al-Nusra Front (A.K.A. HTS), and future #ISIS (Daesh), supported by the #US, its allies and #Turkey.
In a #terrorist attack on 11 villages, extremist groups have killed at least 250 civilians, wounded more than 300 and kidnapped over 200 hostages, and most of the victims were women and children. In some cases, entire families were executed or gunned down as they fled.
For many critics, #Turkey‘s involvement in the terrorist aggression is attributed to the latter’s intention deporting the Armenians in the Syrian town of Kassab, who make up 70% of its population.
The mass killings in Latakia on August 4, 2013, have been compared to previous Turkish massacres and genocides against Armenians and other ethnic groups.
Video is an interview with survivors of the Latakia massacre published by Vanessa Beeley YouTube on November 3, 2018.
